Continuous Monitoring

So, I'm officially in the "any day now" zone. I saw my doctor on Monday and everything checked out fine. Then I had to go into Beaverton to have another non-stress test. That means another ultrasound and two more hours of fetal monitoring. And once again the fluid levels looked good and the baby looked great. So guess what the doctors there wanted? No, really, guess. They wanted me to go back on Thursday to do it again. I told them that I earliest I could go back was on Monday. I mean, three ultrasounds and nearly 8 hours of continuous monitoring and they still want more? Meanwhile, the baby continues to be very active and I continue to feel great (except when getting stressed out about more monitoring.) So my plan is to pray and walk and walk and pray and hope this baby decides to come out soon! Let it be so!

  1. Good for you! Trust yourself and your body. I will be praying for you. Castor oil does work:) I did it with Tobin, tastes nasty, but I was desperate:) Keep leaning on Him.

  2. If it wasn't for the extreme laxative effect I would probably try it. But since I'm already battling low amniotic fluid I don't want to put myself in danger of dehydration.

  3. That was my thought, too, Jeana. I'm not going to give you any advice at all, since I hate getting it myself.

God is in control. Keep your chin up.

  4. I join you in prayer. Just continue self-monitoring and listening to your body. Come on out baby M!

  5. Grandpa Bob just pulled in so that means I have a van! You are ready for this baby, now I'm ready for this baby. Waiting for THE CALL! It's all in God's time, it will be okay.

  6. Oh my goodness that sounds SO familiar... Micah and I finally ended up just saying NO MORE MONITORING... you can't be serious! I will pray the baby come REAL soon! I know how frustrating all the tests and such can be... really ridiculous when your hope and trust is in God and NOT what a machine says!
