Why Enunciation is Important

Jeana: Toby, I'm going to make some carrots for you.
Noah: No! He doesn't have any teeth!
Jeana: No, I'm gonna cook 'em and mash 'em up.
Noah (horrified): What?!?! Don't cook Toby! I don't want a mashed up brother!
Jeana: No, no! I'm going to cook them, the carrots! Not him.

  1. I keep telling my English students that enounciation is important (and try to explain why). Now I have a real-life example! :D
