First House Guests

Tim and Lorraine came down from Spanaway to visit us this weekend! They were our first non-family house guests and we were thrilled to have them stay with us. We had so much fun! Highlights of the weekend include:

Amazing chocolate truffles made by Tim and Lorraine

Noah thinking that Lorraine's name was "The Rain" or "Jerry" (get it? Tim & Jerry?)

Walking through Newberg to have delicious Mexican food for dinner

Reading stories with Noah (and Tim trying to draw out the moral lessons)

Playing Pacman

Playing Cranium games (Ziggity and Hoopla)

Talking about politics, history, religion, economics, education, Harry Potter, Agatha Christie, Dorothy Sayers, and much,much more

Visiting an apple farm and passing an alpaca farm (an alpaca is not a llama) on the way

Browsing through Powells Bookstore on Hawthorne

We had a blast with the Goddards and I'm looking forward to spending time with them again soon.

Tim and Lorraine were supposed to be in Brazil this fall teaching at a school there but Brazil has not given them their visas yet. They have been waiting for months and the fall term is 3 weeks from being finished. You can imagine how frustrating that's been for them. But there is a way you can help!
