Our beautiful bed with our super comfortable new mattress. A HUGE thank you to everyone who contributed to our New Mattress Fund. We have both been sleeping so well and feeling much more refreshed in the mornings. Thank you again and again and again and again.
If we were allowed to paint, the walls in this room would be a spicy brick red. The picture above our bed is one of our wedding pictures with each of our vows on the sides. We found this bed on e-bay before we got married and my parents purchased it for us as a wedding gift. Geary's parents stored it in their garage until we were married.
North wall
That great mirror was a gift from Eric and Anita a couple Christmases ago and the candle holder was a gift from Garyanna the first year we were married. It's kind of hard to tell, but there is a jar of rose petals on right side of the dresser. The petals are from the roses Geary gave to me when he proposed.
South wall
The framed picture is another one of our wedding pictures. Instead of having a guest book, we had our wedding guests sign the matte around the picture. I love looking at all the signatures and remembering that all those people are committed to our marriage. The smaller picture is an oil pastel of two sets of footprints facing each other. Geary made it and gave it to me the Christmas before we were engaged. We used that image as our wedding theme. Underneath the little shelf is just a black bookcase with baskets in it where we store our socks and stuff.
Foot of the bed
This is my gorgeous antique trunk that Geary (with the help of his parents and sister) bought me for our third anniversary. I love the embossed vine/scroll design on it. Noah loves to use this trunk to play "pirates."
