Battle of Wits

Toby:  Mom, I'm ready for bed!

Jeana:  Okay!  Did you brush your teeth?

Toby:  Yep!

Jeana:  Did you wash your face?

Toby:  Yep!

Jeana:  Do you have pajamas on?

Toby:  Yep!

Jeana (being silly and wanting to know what Toby will say):  Do you want me to lick your armpit?

Toby: Yep!  But don't lick the red part or your mouth will be on fire.

Life Paths

Nila gave Noah a job at the farm.  He could gather all the cans and bottles and take them to recycling center and then keep the money for payment.  He's done it twice so far and Geary says he's doing a good job.  Apparently there are teams of people who do this for a living.  We've been calling them The Pros and we're trying figure out the times of day when The Pros won't be there hogging all the machines.

Jeana:  So, do you think you'll want to be a Pro when you grow up, Noah?

Noah:  Uh...no.  I want to go to college.

I met Glenda when I was in high school and became friends with her two daughters. I have warm memories of being in Glenda's house.  She introduced me to my favorite tea, Good Earth.  She introduced me to Nutella, one of God's greatest ideas.  And one funny memory I have of being over at Glenda's house was seeing an issue of TV Guide that was supposed to have a photo of  topless Tea Leoni on the cover.  My own parents had ripped the cover off the magazine but Glenda had colored a t-shirt onto the actress with a black marker.  I thought she was a genius--and I still do.  I wanted to grow up to be just like Glenda.  And I still do.
