Restocked Shop

Isn't my husband the sweetest?  I loved his birthday post about me and I am really liking 33.  The 30s are SO much better than the 20s!  I can only imagine that the 40s are even greater!

Well, it's not domestic...

This morning I had just gotten Miles dressed when he grabbed my cup of water and drenched himself.  Frustrated, I exclaimed, "You're such a wild animal!"   Then Toby walked up and patted Miles on the head saying, "Yeah.  Miles you are a duck!"

The Clothes Make the Man

Noah had just gotten out of the shower and was running to his room to get pajamas on...

Toby:  Noah, you naked?!?

Noah:  Yeah!  I just took a shower!

Toby:  I'm not naked.  I'm cute!

First Day of Preschool

Toby was so excited to go to preschool that he wouldn't stand still in front of the door for a picture. "No, let's go!" he would insist. I finally got him to turn around for a shot in front of the garbage cans. Lovely.

But it was a great day! No tears from anyone, no potty accidents, a great report from his teacher, and Miles napped the whole time Toby was gone which meant I was able to get a lot of work done!

First Day of Second Grade

Here's Noah on his first day of second grade.

He was pretty excited about seeing all his friends again.

This year I had a little surprise up my sleeve.  I made these labels with an old Dymo label maker and stuck them underneath Noah and Geary's desks.  When they need a little extra reassurance they'll be able to feel the bumps from the letters and know that they are very loved.

Noah's told me that he's touched the the label every day so far...but just to make sure it's still there :)

Hi, All!

Please excuse any typos in this post.  I am at the library because our computer is broken!  I'm trying to type fast before my allotted public computer time runs out.  Just wanted to let you know that posts will be sparse until we figure out a computer replacement. 

Today was the first day of school and it went great!  Noah said Second Grade is AWESOME!

Hopefully, we'll have a new computer soon and I can show you pictures of the first day.

Pillow Talk

Jeana:  I can't believe school starts this Tuesday.

Geary:  I know.  I have to get used to being a boring person again.

Jeana:  Huh?  Were you not a boring person this summer?*

Geary:  Uh...I said MORNING person...

*To clarify, I do not think my husband is a boring person.  I thought he meant "boring person" as in one who goes to bed early--something he does all year round.

While driving in the van...

Noah (laughing): Mom!  I just saw a sign that said Elegant Nails but I thought it said Elephant Nails!

Jeana:  Ha!  Did you imagine a big elephant sitting in a chair getting her giant toenails painted?  Like with a paint roller?

Noah:  Ha ha ha ha! No, I thought of hammering a an elephant into the wall!  Or a nail as big as an elephant!

Jeana:  That's hilarious.  I wish it really was called Elephant Nails.

Noah:  I'm gonna tell Dad about this. He'll crack up
